Job summary

The General Hospital Corporation in Boston, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy department under pharmacist supervision. You will assist in preparing and delivering medications, manage inventory, and use pharmacy software and robotics to ensure accurate dispensing.

Qualified candidates will have a MA Pharmacy Technician license, board certification, and 2–3 years of hospital experience. Onsite 40-hour work week at 32 Fruit Street with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician License - Massachusetts required.
• Board Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB CPhT or NHA ExCPT) required.
• 2-3 years hospital-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and delivery of medications in accordance with laws and procedures.
• Deliver and stock medications to patient care areas and units.
• Utilize pharmacy technology, robotics, software and ADCs.
• Perform cycle counts and assist in extemporaneous dosage forms under pharmacist supervision.
• Reconcile inventory, manage charge orders and keep ADCs stocked.
• Assist in training junior staff and answer pharmacy department inquiries.
