Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant work experience.
• Current licensure with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• National certification recognized by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (NHA or PTCB).
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Graduate from a pharmacy technology program is preferred.
• 4+ years of hospital pharmacy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepares and labels medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepares IV medications using aseptic technique per USP guidelines.
• Transports medications and supplies to assigned areas and maintains confidentiality.
• Enters patient and departmental charging information into the computer system.
• Maintains unit-dose readiness and validates barcode scans.
• Replenishes stock in ADS, crash carts, and specialty medication boxes.
