Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Certified Registered Technician in Oncology for a Per Diem role with rotating weekends and holidays. The technician supports IV admixtures, unit doses and chemotherapy preparation using aseptic technique, while maintaining inventory and delivering supplies to nursing units.

The candidate must be 18+, able to perform arithmetic, read/write English, and possess PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• Must have good math, computer and communication skills.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have passed Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration exam; competency in IV admixture and sterile procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of irrigation, IV admixtures, chemotherapy using aseptic technique.
• Fill unit dose, ADM, stock requisitions and maintain inventory.
• Deliver medications and supplies to nursing units.
• Prepare pre-packaged medications and label them.
• Assist with inventory controls and cycle counts.
• Clean pharmacy equipment, utensils and work areas.
