Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician training with oncology experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform dose calculations and double checks for accuracy.
• Experience with aseptic technique and clean room procedures.
• Registration with the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Proficient use of pharmacy information systems and barcode scanning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform intravenous admixture and aseptic medication preparation.
• Operate Pyxis systems and ensure proper barcoding of medications.
• Support oncology department with chemotherapy preparation practices.
• Generate charges and maintain accurate pharmacy logs and expiration tracking.
• Restock inventory and assist healthcare providers with calls and triage.
