Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor to lead the TVC Oncology Pharmacy. The role focuses on safe preparation and dosing of cancer medications and providing patient-specific drug information to prevent errors and adverse events.

You will support high-quality relationships with healthcare teams, patients and families, while actively engaging in ongoing education and staff development.

Qualifications

• Oncology experience preferred.
• Sterile products experience preferred.
• 1+ years hospital experience preferred.
• Pharmacist license in Tennessee required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy drug orders to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medications.
• Provides outstanding patient care by optimizing medication preparation and resolving medication-related problems.
• Prepares and dispenses medications, provides drug information and manages medication therapy in accordance with regulations and policy.
• Supervises the activities of assigned support personnel and verifies accuracy of medications prior to dispensing.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
