Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist in the Outpatient Oncology Pharmacy to oversee hematology-focused drug therapy and patient care. The role focuses on developing pharmacotherapeutic goals, monitoring plans, and ensuring safe, cost-effective treatment.

The position involves leading chemotherapy/biotherapy orders, dose planning, adverse event monitoring and contributing to safety, quality and education initiatives within the department.

Qualifications

• Hematology experience within oncology care
• Residency training in clinical pharmacy preferred
• Knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and dosing

Responsibilities

• Reviews drug orders to ensure safe and cost-effective use.
• Prepares and dispenses medications and provides drug information.
• Maintains quality and safety of clinical pharmacy services.
• Supervises support personnel and verifies medications before dispensing.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
