Job summary

UK King’s Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky, is seeking a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, optimize medication orders, and participate in patient care rounds. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and cost-conscious therapy, while educating patients and staff and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires a PharmD or B.Pharm from an ACPE-accredited school, 0–2 years of experience in pharmacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or PharmD from an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy.
• Active licensed pharmacist in applicable states; Ohio license within 90 days if applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness.
• Coordinate with providers and multidisciplinary teams for medication management.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on medication therapy and safety.
• Compound, dispense, and supervise preparation of medications ensuring quality/compliance.
• Maintain inventory and records for controlled substances and medications.
