Job summary

Texas Oncology in Dallas Sammons Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our team. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday with rotating shifts between 7:30am–5pm, and may be Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience.

Under minimal supervision, you will prepare and dispense medications, consult with nursing and medical staff, supervise technicians, monitor quality and safety, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree and current state license required.
• 0-3 years experience for entry level, oncology background preferred.
• May supervise pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses medication orders.
• Maintains and evaluates patient profiles and drug data.
• Verifies information and insurance before admixing.
• Manages IV admixture in accordance with guidelines.
• Ensures proper labeling, calculations, and dosing.
• Provides drug counseling to patients and staff.
• Maintains inventory control and logs; assists with ordering.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Documents all drug information and monitoring activities.
