Entry requirements include Maryland CNA certification, high school diploma, and BLS CPR; interns progress to PCT I after training. The unit handles hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplants with strong emphasis on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of basic clinical skills required to support nursing personnel with patient care activities.
• BLS CPR certification required (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted).
• PCT Intern will remain in an intern role for no longer than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine patient activities under supervision of a nurse.
• Assists with delegated patient care procedures on the Oncology IMC/ICU unit.
• Supports nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.
