Job summary

Providence Swedish caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. The Patient Services Coordinator handles reception, registration, insurance authorization, chart prep, triage calls and co-pay collection in the Medical Oncology practice, serving as a liaison to patients, families and other departments.

This role supports orientation and training of new staff and may participate in special projects, all while delivering exceptional customer service to optimize the oncology patient

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills around patient care and clinic matters.
• Compassion, sensitivity and emotional stability are necessary with the Oncology population.
• Associate's degree or healthcare equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reception, registration, insurance authorization, chart preparation, telephone triaging, and co-pay collection.
• Act as a liaison with patients, families and other departments.
• Partner in orientation and training of new staff.
• Contribute to special projects as directed.
