Baystate Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the Oncology team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role focuses on compassionate, high-quality patient care across an adult oncology population, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification is noted in Baystate Health materials.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care; documents vitals, intake/output, and changes in condition.
• Performs approved procedures (dressing changes, specimen collection, EKGs, point-of-care testing).
• Assists nurses and providers with examinations and treatments; monitors patients and reports changes.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Maintains patient safety and responds to emergencies as needed.
