Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses in the Oncology unit. The role includes assisting with Activities of Daily Living, vital signs, documentation, and ensuring patient safety in a high-acuity cancer care setting.

Experience as CNA, nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required, and benefits-eligible employment is offered with day and night

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under supervision, assisting with ADLs and vital signs.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes to the nurse.
• Assists with patient and family education; documents care activities.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet patient needs.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory compliance efforts.
