Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a CNA to provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses on a 38-bed GI/GU surgical unit. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, perform phlebotomy as needed, and contribute to a safe, learning-friendly environment for patients and families.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, documentation accuracy, and teamwork to support ERAS and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care under licensed nurses, including ADLs, vital signs, and basic care.
• Collect patient data and report changes to the nurse to support assessment and safety.
• Assist with patient and family education and document activities accurately.
• Ensure availability of supplies and equipment to meet patient needs.
• Participate in safety initiatives and ongoing professional development.
