Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Patient Care Associate (PCA) in our Oncology 5500 department in Fort Smith, AR. The part-time position offers about 12 hours per week under RN or LPN supervision, with opportunities to advance to PCT and beyond.

You will perform vital signs, assist with meals, bathing, mobility, and documentation in the EMR. Mercy provides a DOL-accredited apprenticeship training, an orientation program, and benefits including health coverage, paid time off, and tuition support.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare program.
• Experience: None required.
• Physical requirements: ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document into the EMR system.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility and transport.
• Clerical support duties as needed.
• PCA training program and advancement pathways to PCT.
