Job summary

Lexington Oncology is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for full-time day shift (0800-1630) to provide comprehensive nursing care and educate patients on oral chemotherapy care plans in an office setting.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, managing chemotherapy orders, PICC/VAD/Hickman care, and coordinating patient education and care plans. A SC RN license and cancer‑care certifications are required. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current South Carolina license as a Registered Nurse.
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS and CPR certification.
• National Oncology Certification within 2 years of hire.
• Strong analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of cancer and cancer therapy.
• Proficiency in PICC line care, VAD care, Hickman/Broviac care and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive attitude and collaborates with other departments and outside entities.
• Assist physicians with patient care, set up equipment, administer injections, and document in patient records.
• Triage patients by phone and in person; instruct patients and ensure understanding of medications.
• Process chemotherapy orders and notify physician of changes; document dosing in EHR.
• Refer patients to appropriate professionals and maintain supply levels and documentation.
