Job summary

University Hospital is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead nutrition care for outpatients in the Cancer Center. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and provide counseling throughout the cancer care continuum with emphasis on survivorship and prevention.

The role requires an RD credential and at least two years of acute care experience, with oncology experience and CSO preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Dietitian in an acute care setting.
• Oncology experience and enteral nutrition care experience preferred.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
• Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients in the Cancer Center.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide ongoing nutrition counseling and education to oncology patients and families.
• Coordinate all aspects of nutritional care throughout cancer treatment journey.
• Manage nutrition-related side effects and provide nutrition support interventions.
• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle practices for survivorship and prevention.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal nutritional management.
