Job summary
UChicago Medicine seeks an Assistant Manager, Clinical Nutrition – Cancer Service Line to lead nutrition services across cancer care. You will supervise Registered Dietitians, ensure high-quality patient care in inpatient oncology units and ambulatory oncology programs, and coordinate with surgical oncology and holistic nutrition teams.
The role includes leadership for the Teaching Kitchen, culinary nutrition initiatives, and community outreach, with strategic liaison to Cancer Service Line
Qualifications
- Master’s in nutrition/Dietetics or related field; RD eligibility
- Active RD/RDN license
- Minimum 5 years clinical nutrition experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in complex inpatient and/or ambulatory healthcare settings
- Oncology nutrition experience preferred; CSO certification preferred
- IL licensure as Dietitian; CFPM/CDPH/related certifications preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline leadership and day-to-day operational management of nutrition services across cancer care
- Lead staff performance and clinical/operational workflows
- Coordinate across inpatient units and ambulatory oncology programs
- Support Teaching Kitchen, culinary nutrition programs, and community outreach
- Develop and standardize referral, triage, scheduling, and documentation workflows
- Monitor access, wait times, and referrals; drive improvements and compliance
