Job summary

The Nursing Supervisor oversees daily clinical duties across Hematology/Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Infusion Center operations in a multi-disciplinary team, driving high-quality patient care and supporting accreditation efforts.

The role requires RN licensure in Texas, BLS, and oncology experience with supervisory responsibilities. Travel to other KSC Cancer Center locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN program.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Assoc.
• Completion of ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Course or Radiation Therapy Certificate Course within 3 months of employment.
• Completion of Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) within 24 months of employment.
• 5+ years of clinical RN experience.
• 2+ years of oncology, infusion, or equivalent specialty experience.
• 2+ years of supervisor/management experience and/or related leadership role.
• Ability to use mechanical devices, such as those used in CPR, oxygen administration, and IV pumps.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• May be required to travel and/or cross-cover other KSC Cancer Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical responsibilities of Hematology/Oncology Clinic, Radiation Oncology Clinic, and/or Infusion Center operations.
• Be knowledgeable in all areas of the Cancer Services Department.
• Work on a multidisciplinary team and ensure competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care.
• Active role in Cancer Center accreditation processes.
