Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of Optum, is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee daily Hematology/Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Infusion Center operations in Houston area. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compassionate, efficient patient care and driving accreditation readiness.

Required RN licensure in Texas, BLS, 5+ years RN experience, oncology/infusion focus, and 2+ years in supervision. Travel may be needed; strong EPIC/Area/Beacon experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved RN program.
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Assoc.
  • Completion of ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Course or Radiation Therapy Certificate Course within 3 months of employment.
  • Completion of Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) within 24 months of employment.
  • 5+ years of clinical RN experience.
  • 2+ years of oncology, infusion, or equivalent specialty experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisor/management experience and/or related leadership role.
  • Ability to use mechanical devices, such as those used in CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous pumps.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • May be required to travel and/or cross-cover other KSC Cancer Center locations.

Responsibilities

  • The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical responsibilities of Hematology/Oncology Clinic, Radiation Oncology Clinic, and/or Infusion Center operations
  • The Nursing Supervisor should be knowledgeable in all areas of the Cancer Services Department
  • This position will work on a multidisciplinary team and is accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care
  • This person will play an active role in Cancer Center accreditation processes

Primary Responsibilities:
  • The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical responsibilities of Hematology/Oncology Clinic, Radiation Oncology Clinic, and/or Infusion Center operations

Required Qualification:

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • May be required to travel and/or cross-cover other KSC Cancer Center locations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN)
  • Ambulatory clinic experience
  • Experience with EPIC, Area, and/or Beacon
  • Solid IV/vascular access skills to include accessing port-a-caths
  • Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
