Allina Health is seeking a Nurse Supervisor for Oncology/Medicine and Post-Surgical units in Minnesota. The role oversees day-to-day patient care operations, provides education and liaison support, and partners with the Patient Care Manager to ensure high-quality, compliant care.

The candidate should have 3–7 years of inpatient nursing, a nursing degree (BSN preferred), and proven supervisory skills. 0.9 FTE (72 hours/2 weeks), 8-hour day shifts, no weekends, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or Associate’s or Vocational degree in nursing, with related Bachelor’s degree or active enrollment in a BSN/BAN program.
• 3 to 7 years in inpatient hospital nursing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates employee performance.
• Assists with recruitment and hiring for positions.
• Onboards, orients, and provides ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to staff.
• Manages staff assignments and productivity. Establishes clear expectations and deliverables.
• Supports charge nurse and staff to provide staff coverage based on unit census, patient acuity and unit activity, and the unit staffing plan.
• Conducts annual evaluations and necessary corrective action for assigned staff.
• Maintains open, effective communication with patient care manager (PCM) in regard to development and performance of unit personnel.
• Applies and educates staff in new/changed regulations, policies and procedures, and compliance.
