Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Nurse Senior – Educator to advance nursing excellence through evidence-based education and professional development across Oncology and Medical-Surgical services.

This salaried role (40 hours/week) requires CT RN licensure, MSN preferred, and a minimum of 3 years in oncology nursing, with responsibilities to design, mentor, and lead education programs aligning with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Connecticut RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; MSN strongly preferred; BSN candidates pursued MSN/ higher.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience in oncology nursing (ambulatory, infusion, medical oncology, hematology/oncology, cancer care or related settings).
• MSN must be completed within six months of hire (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff across inpatient oncology services.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to assess learning needs and develop targeted professional development strategies.
• Mentor and support nurses in evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead efforts to integrate best practices and regulatory standards into education and clinical workflows.
