Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Nursing is required.
RN license for Florida is required.
BLS, CPR and Heart Association certifications are required or expected.

Responsibilities

Develops and provides services for orientation, continuing education, and assessment of ongoing competency of clinical staff.
May perform clinical patient care when needed.
Supports an environment that promotes evidence-based nursing practice.
Collaborates with nursing leaders to assess learning needs and competencies.
Assists with developing departmental goals aligned with the organization’s strategic plan.
Participates in research, quality improvement, or evidence-based practice initiatives.
Develops, coordinates, and delivers education activities on assigned units.
Manages onboarding and orientation of new employees and students.
Uses best available evidence to guide practice decisions.
Acts as a consultant/mentor/change agent for staff in program development and clinical practice.
