Job summary

Archbold Medical Center seeks a Director of Nursing – Oncology Admin to lead cancer care programs and oversee nursing practice across medical and radiation oncology services in Georgia. The role requires a BSN, Georgia licensure, and extensive oncology leadership experience to drive quality and patient outcomes.

Ideal candidate will have at least seven years of nursing, with five in oncology and two in progressive leadership roles, and will mentor staff while advancing evidence-based care

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• OCN certification preferred.
• Licensed by the State of Georgia.
• Minimum of seven (7) years professional nursing experience including five (5) in oncology and minimum of two (2) in progressive leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess outcome trends related to oncology nursing practice.
• Assess knowledge, skill and practice competencies of nurses, social workers and navigators.
• Develops evidence-based oncology nursing policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• Mentors nurses and nursing students and supports staff education programs.
• Plans and implements new programs and nursing initiatives in oncology care.
• Facilitates multidisciplinary approach to cancer care and coordinates transfers to tertiary centers or palliative services.
