Job summary

Inova Health is seeking a Clinical Educator in Nursing to join the Oncology team and support RN staff with education and competency development. This role provides systemwide oversight across Inova Alexandria Hospital, Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, Inova Fair Oaks, Inova Mount Vernon, and Inova Loudoun Hospital.

The Clinical Educator will integrate theory with practice, develop annual self-development plans, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives, while aligning with Inova’s commitment

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or BSN and enrolled in Master’s program.
• RN licensure in Virginia or multi-state licensure.
• 2 years progressive nursing experience in designated specialty.
• 3 months of preceptor experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess the competency of new nursing staff while focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.
• Integrate theoretical knowledge and evidence-based principles into educational experiences for staff.
• Prepare annual self-development plans and set professional goals.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
