Job summary

AVA Search Group, LLC is partnering with an established oncology team in the Chevy Chase/Bethesda area to recruit a capable Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This full‑time APP role blends outpatient oncology with occasional hospital rounding to impact the cancer care continuum.

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, coordinate care with the oncology team, and provide outpatient clinic coverage while rounding on inpatient units as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in NP or PA program.
• Current Maryland APRN or PA license.
• DEA certification.
• ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P) certification (or willing to obtain) and BLS.
• 1+ years of oncology experience.
• Outpatient or hospitalist experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical care to oncology patients.
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage ongoing patient needs in collaboration with the oncology team.
• Provide outpatient clinic coverage.
• Round on hospitalized patients as needed.
• Coordinate care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
