Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited NP/PA program.
• Active Maryland APRN/PA license.
• Prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
• Current national certification: ANCC or AANP (NP), ONCC AOCNP® (oncology NP), or NCCPA (PA).
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of oncology APRN/PA experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients.
• Write prescriptions for medications and blood products.
• Determine patient eligibility for entry into clinical trials.
• Interpret and evaluate findings of studies and diagnostic tests.
• Administer therapeutic measures and obtain specimens as prescribed.
• Help patients and families manage coping during acute and chronic phases of care.
• Conduct or participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds for assigned patients.
• Provide on-call coverage and hospital rounds as needed.
• Triage patients to determine the urgency of physician evaluation.
• Perform other duties as requested.

A national oncology and hematology organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Bethesda, MD team. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary care team, supporting patients and families through every phase of treatment, including participation in clinical trials.
