Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens coverage in an outpatient clinic in California. Start ASAP with a day shift; 8:30a-5:00p or 10:00a-6:30p depending on schedule.

The role includes follow up visits, coordination with ancillary services, and managing treatment plans for chemotherapy patients. Bone marrow biopsy experience is highly preferred, with coverage of both outpatient and some inpatient/virtual patients.

Qualifications

• Active California license is required.
• Locum tenens coverage with ASAP start.
• Experience in outpatient oncology clinics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with patients and some new patients (3, 6, 12 month appointments).
• Coordinate emails with ancillary services and order oncology tests.
• Refill patient prescriptions and manage treatment plans.
• Follow up on treatment and see patients prior to chemotherapy.
• Bone marrow biopsy experience is highly preferred.
• See inpatient and some virtual patients from the clinic.

Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Day 8 Pay Rate: $101.85 - $110.25

This facility is seeking a Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, one provider will be scheduled from 8:30a-5:00p and the second provider will be scheduled from 10:00a-6:30p.

Setting: Outpatient clinic.

Cases: Clinic based coverage. Follow up patients and some new patients (3, 6, 12 month appointments).

Coordinating emails with ancillary services, ordering oncology tests, refilling patient prescriptions.

Follow up on treatment of patients and seeing patients prior to them doing chemotherapy.

Bone Marrow Biopsy highly preferred.

Will see both inpatient patients as well as some virtual patients from clinic.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days.

Licensure: Must have an active California license.
