Job summary

SGMC Health, Cancer Center, PCC - MEDICAL ONCOLOGY, seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to collaborate with physicians and the care team to optimize patient outcomes in Oncology/Hematology. The role follows the nursing process for the specified patient population, ensuring safe, effective care.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating supportive services, maintaining communication with patients and families, and adhering to SGMC Health policies and interdepartmental plans of care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as RN in Georgia required.
• BSN preferred.
• Four years nursing experience required.
• Experience with chemotherapy and Oncology/Hematology patients.
• Flexible in schedule and workloads.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer usage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
• Coordinates supportive care and services per the interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Promotes delivery of quality patient care for Oncology and Hematology patients.
• Monitors patient outcomes and addresses issues that arise in care delivery.
• Upholds SGMC Health values, policies, and procedures.
