Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia seeks an Oncology Nurse Navigator to coordinate diagnostic work-ups, communicate results, and facilitate referrals through the cancer care continuum. The navigator advocates for timely, compassionate care and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient experience.

Education includes nursing degree with BSN preferred; 3 years in healthcare with oncology experience is desired. Workday Day shift in the United States location at Jefferson facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or completion of BSN within 3 years strongly preferred.
• Three (3) years of healthcare/medical experience; oncology/cancer care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate diagnostic work-up, results reporting and referrals across the cancer care continuum.
• Advocate for timely, compassionate care and maintain patient–physician relationships.
• Attend Tumor Boards and provide clinical support to Patient Navigators and SKCC patients.
• Educate patients and families about disease process, treatment options, and potential side effects.
• Support transitions of care and coordinate between SKCC sites; guide patients throughout their care journey.
