Job summary

UofL Health - Brown Cancer Center is seeking a nurse navigator to join the multidisciplinary oncology team. You will educate patients and families, coordinate care across the continuum, and liaise with physicians, nurses, and supportive services.

This role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, Kentucky RN license, 2+ years oncology bedside experience, BLS, and the ability to travel to ULH locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ASN is required; BSN must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Current RN license in Kentucky.
• 2+ years of oncology bedside experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families about disease, treatment options, and potential side effects.
• Coordinate patients through the continuum of care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Serve as liaison between disciplines and supportive services.
• Coordinate weekly multidisciplinary conferences and database tracking for treatment outcomes.
• Compile data, track outcomes, and make recommendations for process improvement.
• Provide referrals and support for follow-up care.
• Travel to multiple ULH locations as needed.
