Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking an Oncology RN for an onsite role in East Alton, Illinois. The position supports Memorial Hospital Belleville’s oncology program with a dedicated, full-time schedule and no call on nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, education, and coordination with the interprofessional team to develop care plans. Oncology experience and BSN/MSN candidates are preferred; RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with nursing degree and current state licensure.
• Oncology experience is preferred; BSN/MSN candidates accepted.
• Bachelor-level nursing degree is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an oncology setting.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home care.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document care plans with the interprofessional team.
• Assess and respond to patient preferences and needs.
• Maintain high vigilance as this is a safety-sensitive role.
