Job summary

77 consultants is seeking a Locum NP/PA in Medical Oncology to support oncologists and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced oncology setting in Charlotte, NC. The role is on-site, contract-based, and involves direct patient care across diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.

The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted NP or PA license in NC, DEA registration, and board certification, with strong oncology experience and proficiency with Epic EHR.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain one
• Valid DEA registration and active board certification (NP or PA)
• Experience in medical oncology or hematology-oncology preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Must be board-certified and able to work on-site in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including histories and physicals
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans under physician supervision
• Prescribe and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications
• Monitor treatment toxicities and manage side effects
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and pathology results
• Provide patient and family education on diagnosis and care plans
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health staff
• Document encounters in the EMR and ensure regulatory compliance
• Support end-of-life planning and palliative care discussions as needed
• Maintain knowledge of oncology guidelines and practice standards
