Job summary

The US Oncology Network is looking for a New Patient Coordinator to join Texas Oncology in Amarillo, Texas. This full-time position will involve managing new patient referrals, coordinating insurance verifications, and providing exemplary customer service as the first point of contact.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of revenue cycle and/or patient access experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple PMS and EHR platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products required.
  • Proficiency with medical terminology and insurance benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new patient referral process within department standards.
  • Provide strong customer service to patients and stakeholders.
  • Verify and register patient accounts in the practice management system.
  • Facilitate insurance benefit investigations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
