Job summary

Lowcountry Oncology Associates is seeking a Mixing Technician to join its pharmacy team and support high-quality cancer care. The role involves preparing sterile, hazardous chemotherapy medications in an outpatient infusion setting, following USP 797/800 and state rules.

Travel to four clinic locations is required. Requirements include active SC Pharmacy Technician registration and at least two years of experience, with proficiency in EMR, pharmacy systems, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Active SC Pharmacy Technician registration.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience required.
• Knowledge of EMR, pharmacy systems and MS Office.
• Understanding of community-based outpatient infusion operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded medications per physician orders.
• Sort, stock, label meds and monitor inventory in cabinets.
• Follow USP 797/800 sterile compounding standards.
• Use aseptic technique in appropriate environments (BSC).
• Calculate dosages, volumes, concentrations and diluents.
• Label and stage meds for double-check and nursing administration.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses and providers on prescriptions.
• Maintain clean and compliant pharmacy environment and records.
• Assist with inventory management across four clinic locations.
