Job summary

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is seeking a Mixing Technician to prepare, compound and dispense medical prescriptions under the Medical Director. The role may include clerical duties, inventory management and maintaining sterile areas in accordance with regulations.

Qualified candidates will hold a Certified Technician Certification and a Louisiana pharmacy license, with clinic pharmacy experience and QS1 system familiarity. The position may require site coverage at other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified Technician Certification required.
• Licensed by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
• Clinic Pharmacy experience required.
• QS1 pharmacy management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing prescription orders accurately and efficiently, verifying prescription information and dosage.
• Providing quality customer service to patients and other healthcare providers.
• Maintaining inventory and keeping a safe, clean dispensary.
• Maintaining records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions.
• Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing goals and promoting a positive environment.
