Medical Group is seeking a BE/BC Oncologist to join its team of 7 medical oncologists in Sioux Falls, SD. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive cancer care in a state-of-the-art environment, supported by senior-level mentors, a full cancer genomics team, advanced clinical trials, and cutting-edge clinical offerings.

The cancer center fosters a highly collaborative environment focused on improving patient outcomes and caring for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

Team Support and Environment

The team is supported by dedicated APPs, transplant coordinators, pharmacists, social workers, a modern infusion center, inpatient hospitalist support, and a comprehensive network of subspecialists integrated into the program.

24/7 oncology nursing coverage through the Cancer Navigation Center provides patient support and manages after-hours calls.

Academic appointments and teaching opportunities are available through the University of South Dakota.

Cancer Institute Overview

As the region's only comprehensive cancer center, it offers state-of-the-art services in one location, housing 6 medical oncologists, 3 hematologists trained in bone marrow transplantation/CAR-T therapy, 2 gynecologic oncologists, and 3 radiation oncologists. The facility provides high dose-rate brachytherapy, intraoperative radiation for breast cancer, and gamma knife treatments. It is South Dakota's only bone marrow transplant center, having performed over 800 transplants and cellular therapies, including CAR-T.

The program hosts weekly multidisciplinary conferences covering various cancer types and has a robust genomic sequencing program to guide treatment decisions. The cancer institute also offers hereditary cancer testing and a strong clinical trials program in collaboration with national organizations and pharmaceutical companies.
