Job Summary: Geisinger is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist to join our growing cancer program at Geisinger Medical Center Muncy in Muncy, PA. Geisinger offers a unique opportunity for early career and experienced hematology oncology physicians to develop their careers within a well-established, physician-led organization. Our providers collaborate with surgical oncology, palliative medicine, radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic radiology, and behavioral medicine to deliver quality cancer care.
Job Duties:
Geisinger has an exciting intellectual environment, including the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, over 50 graduate medical education programs, and fellowship programs in hematology/oncology and palliative medicine. The health system is awarded NCI-NCORP designation and is committed to cancer clinical trial participation. Our medical school emphasizes active learning, longitudinal clinical experiences, and community engagement.
Our providers work with fellows and residents, contributing to training the next generation of hematology and oncology physicians, and have opportunities to engage with Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
Our patients benefit from the MyCode Community Health Initiative, which has sequenced over 275,000 patient genomes for research and clinical applications. Providers interested in research collaborate within Geisinger and with external organizations.
