Job Summary: Geisinger is seeking a BC / BE Hematologist Oncologist to join a well-established cancer program at Hazleton Cancer Clinic in West Hazleton, PA. Geisinger offers a unique opportunity for early career and experienced hematology oncology physicians to develop their careers and be part of a well-established, growing physician-led organization. Our providers collaborate with surgical oncology, palliative medicine, radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic radiology, and behavioral medicine to deliver quality cancer care.
Job Duties:
Geisinger has an engaging intellectual environment, including the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, over 50 graduate medical education programs, and hematology/oncology and palliative medicine fellowships. The health system has been awarded NCI-NCORP designation and is committed to cancer clinical trial participation. Our medical school emphasizes active learning, longitudinal clinical experiences, and community engagement.
Our providers train the next generation of hematology and oncology physicians, with opportunities to get involved in medical education and research. Patients contribute to the MyCode Community Health Initiative, with over 275,000 genomes sequenced for research and clinical applications. Providers interested in research collaborate within Geisinger and across organizations.

Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
Experience & Licensing: Licensed Medical Doctor in Pennsylvania
