Texas Oncology in Houston, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in our clinic. Under supervision, you will assist physicians and clinicians, record vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and help with daily administrative tasks.

This entry-level to senior role offers a Monday–Friday schedule 8:30am–5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch break, competitive benefits, and opportunities to grow toward CMA certification and CPR training.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 0-3 years experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant (entry level).
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Some state regulations may require specific certifications to work as a Medical Assistant.

Aufgaben

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas as appropriate.
• Records patient data prior to physician visits, including vital signs and weight.
• Obtains necessary patient records and prepares exam/treatment rooms.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administers injections as delegated by RN or physician.

Ausbildung

High school diploma or equivalent

Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program

Current BCLS certification within 3 months of hire

Certified Medical Assistant preferred

State-specific certifications may be required

Experience level 0-3 years (entry level)

Experience level 3+ years (Level 2)

Experience level 5+ years (Level Sr)

CPR certification current
