Job summary

OneOncology is seeking a Medical Assistant to gather screening data, obtain vitals, prepare charts, and assist providers in a fast-paced oncology setting. You will handle labs, documentation, and patient flow while ensuring safety and quality care for patients throughout their treatment.

The ideal candidate has an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification, CPR certification, and phlebotomy skills, with oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills.
• Knowledge of medical laboratory procedures.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Previous Oncology/Hematology experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Gather and document patient screening data and vitals.
• Prepare charts and draw labs.
• Assist providers and maintain the lab area.
• Process labs and document in MAR.
• Restock and clean exam and lab areas.
• Log out of all systems at end of day.
• Communicate with nurses about patients ready for infusion.
• Update spreadsheets and records as needed.
