Job summary

Compass Oncology is seeking a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant to support our oncology team. This role will float between facilities in Oregon, providing rooming, vitals, and communication on behalf of the physician. Experience in oncology or specialty settings is a plus.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at multiple clinics including West Cancer Clinic in Tigard. Training and a supportive benefits package are offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtain necessary patient records prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms and assist with supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as directed.
• Maintain exam room disinfection protocols.
• Handle instruments and equipment as needed.
• Answer patient calls and relay prescriptions as required.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
• Obtain new patient records and prior test results.
