Job summary

Sanford Health in the Midwest is seeking an Oncology Medical Assistant to join a compassionate, collaborative team. The role supports patients through the cancer journey with vital signs, exams prep, and data collection under licensed supervision.

Clinic schedule is Monday–Friday with no evenings or weekends, at the Wisconsin Rapids Center as needed. You will participate in care across the lifespan, assist with point-of-care testing, and ensure clear communication of instructions to patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or successful completion of related courses within 12 months of hire.
• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant required if education not met at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from the patient and relay to the provider.
• Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and assist in care.
• Perform point-of-care testing and contribute to the patient care plan under supervision.
• Communicate the provider's instructions for care to the patient or caregiver.
