Affiliated Oncologists, part of The US Oncology Network, is hiring a Medical Assistant in Chicago Ridge to support physicians with patient care in an oncology clinic. You will escort patients, record vital signs, prepare exam and treatment rooms, and assist with procedures, promoting efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–3 years of MA experience, and accurate BCLS certification within 3 months.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 0-3 years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited MA program preferred.
• Some state regulations may require specific certifications.

Aufgaben

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data prior to visits, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtain necessary patient records as required by physician.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient calls and refer to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Document prescriptions and inform physician of reschedules and no-shows.
• Perform administrative duties as requested.
