Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX seeks a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical Oncology to provide direct patient care and coordinate treatment plans with the healthcare team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while educating patients and families about treatments and follow-up steps.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BCLS, and completion of a chemotherapy immunotherapy course within 6 months. ADN or BSN is preferred; 1–2 years nursing experience is desired.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Texas or Compact state.
• BCLS
• Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Course (complete within 6 months from hire).
• 1–2 years nursing experience (preferred).
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (preferred).
• Computer skills and ability to work in a team to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and shifts, report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt, empathetic patient care and respond to requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, meds, side effects, and follow-up.
