Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking an experienced RN for Oncology Medical-Surgical (Days). This 36-bed unit provides general oncology, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology and related care, with 1:4 or 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios on many shifts.

The role requires ADN or Nursing Diploma, Nebraska or compact-state RN licensure, BLS, and additional certifications (PALS, ACLS, TNCC/ATCN) as assigned. You will provide coordinated nursing care in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ADN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Current Nebraska or compact-state RN license.
• BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program.
• PALS, ACLS, and TNCC/ATCN certifications as required by department.
• Strong communication, initiative, teamwork and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care for a designated patient group.
• Collaborate with health care providers to meet holistic care needs.
• Care may be long-term, emergent, critical, acute or interventional.
