TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital is recruiting an Registered Nurse for the Oncology Med-Surg unit in Cincinnati, OH. This full-time day shift offers a $5k sign-on bonus and a 12-hour shift pattern with a 6-week rotation.

The role emphasizes care for adult and geriatric oncology patients, including complex therapies like CAR-T and bone marrow transplant programs. Strong teamwork, safety, and patient-focused nursing are required for success.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing are required.
New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers is required.
Registered Nurse with active license.

Responsibilities

Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
Develop, communicate, and update plans of care, including discharge planning.
Provide safe, patient-centered care that respects autonomy, dignity and diversity.
Recognize emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
Carry out physician orders accurately and promptly.
Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
Administer medications and treatments safely and per policy.
Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care with the team.
Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members as appropriate.
Serve as a clinical resource and support training of staff and students.
Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to standards.
