Job summary

UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Cancer Center team on a PRN basis. The role provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings under physician supervision, with focus on promoting patient health and wellness across age groups.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program, hold Virginia LPN licensure, and have BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program required.
• Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in Virginia prior to onboarding.
• AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Record and relay patient information, symptoms and concerns to the medical provider or RN for triage and care plan.
• Assist patients with therapeutic regimens.
• Reinforce established plans of care and age-appropriate interventions.
• Reinforce patient/family teaching based on health education needs.
• Administer tasks, treatments and medications per validated competencies.
