Job summary

AON is seeking an LPN to assist physicians and registered nurses in the care of patients at Central Georgia Cancer Care. The role involves IV therapy, charting in OncoEMR, and coordinating treatment plans under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with lab samples, patient education, triage by phone, and inventory management. Local travel to clinics may be required, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with IV therapy experience preferred or 30 hour IV certification course mandatory within 90 days.
• Current CPR and BLS certification required.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication.
• Valid driver’s license to travel to clinics.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately mix and administer chemotherapeutic agents as ordered by physicians under supervision.
• Assist in obtaining lab samples.
• Perform technical laboratory procedures per regulatory standards and dispose of biohazardous waste safely.
• Document treatment in OncoEMR and prepare superbill for charges.
• Educate patients and families about medications and planned treatment.
• Provide telephone triage and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory and restocking of medical supplies.
