Job summary

Oncology Consultants is seeking a medical laboratory technician to perform routine blood tests, quality control, phlebotomy, and instrument maintenance. The role includes preparing specimens for microscope examination and operating hematology analyzers and point-of-care devices.

You will support OC Houston area clinics, collect samples across multiple sites, adhere to safety and privacy regulations, maintain logs, and assist with compliance testing.

Qualifications

• High School education, required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a lab setting.
• National lab certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Specimen collection and testing per protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment with proper QC.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Document logs and troubleshoot instrument issues.
• Support multiple OC Houston area clinics as needed.
