Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment
• Minimum six months of active Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities

• Collects appropriate specimens from patients as ordered.
• Sends specimens to reference laboratories for testing not performed in-house.
• Maintains proper documentation per quality assurance, including logs and checklists.
• Charts patient results in a timely manner.
• Updates daily paperwork, lab logs and maintenance logs.
• Performs in-house lab testing and processes results for charting.
• Assists with patient flow and rooming, including vitals and assessments.
• Complies with regulatory standards and safety policies.
